FMH was a proud participant in this year’s Independent Insurance Agents of Iowa Insurance Day on the Hill at the Iowa State Capitol, held in mid-February. At this annual event, supporters of the Iowa insurance industry connect with legislators to discuss current issues and demonstrate the significant impact the industry has on the region. Every year, members of the FMH team attend this event to visit with legislators about various industry issues, including the recently enacted Assignment of Benefits bill the Iowa House and Senate passed last session.
“Insurance Day on the Hill is an opportunity to bring awareness of our industry to legislators and their aides that may not have any other interactions with people in insurance,” said Jim Polish, FMH Senior Mutual Services Representative. He added, “As one of the state’s largest industries, this event gives both urban and rural legislators a chance to talk and learn about our industry, and it also gives us an opportunity to learn how they feel about us.”
