Now, when a farmer submits their precision data through the FMH Policyholder Center, in many cases, agents will just need to print the map-based combo report for a review and a signature – that’s it! The system handles assigning data to a unit when possible, CLU validation, policy syncing, and generating a map-based report for agents.
Q: How can Precision Express automate the agent’s steps?
A: “Because precision data is more complete and accurate, critical information for a policy is available electronically when the farmer submits it," said Marc Husman, Precision Tech Specialist (PTS). "Without the need to key, we only needed to build automation with a focus on multiple quality check points, which FMHA does. If there are any errors, the system will notify a PTS to hop in and verify. Many times, a PTS can correct the error and the agent will not need to be notified.”
Q: What does this mean for agents?
A: “With Precision Express, agents can spend less time keying or verifying data and more time with their customers,” said Husman. “This not only benefits agents who are already offering Precision Solutions, but for any agents who have been on the fence about starting Precision Solutions. I tell them that now is definitely the time to get started. Precision Express is the low-touch way to get the benefits of using precision data for crop insurance without the need to understand everything about precision technology.”
Q: What does this mean for farmers?
A: “For Precision Express to run well, the farmer’s data must be as accurate and clean as possible. That’s why the FMH Precision Team prioritizes connecting with each farmer. We will help them get set up to submit data and even review their data organization with them,” explained Husman. “This way, the farmer can focus on talking to their agent about policy details, not technology questions.”
