Ag Brokerage Solutions Places Challenging Ag Coverage

Entering its second year, Ag Brokerage Solutions has successfully placed a lineup of agribusiness policies for unique situations and has the expertise and partnerships to tackle similar challenging coverages.

“A good example – and one that I think is becoming more common – is one we placed last year for an Iowa producer with a large grain and beef operation struggling to find enough coverage. The producer runs a 20,000-acre farm and $5 million beef cattle operation. He struggled to find coverage with large property values and an unfavorable loss history," explained ABS Brokerage Manager Lexie Friar.

"His agent came to us, and we were able to build a plan with property and general liability coverages with a total insured value of $25.5 million. By working with multiple carriers, we were able to tailor a plan that fit the producer’s needs.”

We're really making a name for ourselves as a brokerage that can find solutions for hard-to-place ag coverages

While a positive result for the producer, Friar also added how agents are finding ABS’s dedication to service refreshing and helpful in today’s tough climate.

“What agents enjoy most about working with us is that we have a single broker working multiple lines to present a comprehensive solution on a single account. Our brokers handle the whole account, and our agents only work with a single person.”
