Ag Brokerage Solutions is pleased to welcome Michelle Ruff as our Equine Underwriting Consultant!
Michelle began her career at Markel Insurance Company in Richmond, VA, and has also worked in underwriting for American Reliable Insurance Company. She joined ABS in April 2023 with an extensive background in equine underwriting, including farm, liability, and mortality.
Michelle graduated from the University of Virginia with bachelor’s degrees in Economics and German Language and Literature. She and her husband Thomas live in Charlottesville, VA, with their dog, Bennett. Michelle is also a dressage rider, who has earned her USDF Bronze and Silver medals and has competed through FEI Intermediate I. She is currently in training with her young dressage horse, Fhair Lady.
Michelle will lend her expertise to agent partners to provide risk protection solutions for equine operations, animal mortality, and pet insurance.
