Wind is an optional Crop Hail endorsement that provides coverage for corn that has blown down due to wind damage. It covers ears that cannot be recovered because of flattening, bending, or breaking of the stalk.
Coverage is available for field corn, seed corn, popcorn, and sweet corn. Wind coverage expires on:
- October 1: AR;
- October 15: IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, OH, OK, TN, and WI;
- October 20: CO, KS;
- November 1: IA, MN, ND, NE, and SD;
- *December 31: IL, IN, MI, MO, OH, and WI.
